Performance of gender and a love letter to the multiplicities of identity. The video is a double exposure of making tortillas on top of getting ready. I used to heavily perform femininity and although I have slowly dropped the act over the years and become my authentic self, I still find comfort in rituals that are considered feminine that connect me to my culture and my family. This piece is an acceptance of the balance between masculine and feminine that make up the self.
